Гра «Find a partner» (10 хв.)

The first room of our world library is called “Find a partner”. I am going to give you secret cards. (Додаток №1. Картки для гри “Find a partner”) You must not show them to each other:

  • Look at the information card and keep this a secret.

  • Imagine that this is your country, festival and things you usually do at this festival.

  • Your aim is to find a partner who has the same identity as yourselves. It means that somebody has the same card as you and you need to guess who it is.

  • You will need to ask these questions: Where are you from? What is the name of the festival in your country? What can you do at this festival?(The questions can be written on the board)

  • For example: T: Where are you from? P: I am from ... T: Oh, I am from Romania. So we can’t be partners.

  • One by one ask and answer questions until you find your partner (Діти спілкуються та знаходять своїх партнерів). When you find a partner read your card in front of the class.

Thank you for your active participation. Give me the cards that I had given to you before the game, please.

Everybody has found the partner. Sit down together with your partner, please.

  1. Запам’ятання нового навчального матеріалу

Мультимедійна гра “True or false” (20 хв.)

We have learnt about different festivals in the first room of the world library and we are entering a room “True or false”. Now you are going to work in pairs and write the answers. (Учитель роздає по 8 аркушів паперу кожній парі учнів) You must put the number of your pair on all the sheets. Do it now, please. You need to give me one sheet of paper after answering each 2 statements.

  • Look at the slide, write “Yes!” and repeat the true sentences or write “No!” and correct false sentences. For example: Tour de France is one of the most popular music festivals of the world. And you write: “No! Tour de France is one of the most popular bicycle races of the world”. Or you read: “Tour de France is one of the most popular bicycle races of the world”. And your answer should be: “Yes, Tour de France is one of the most popular bicycle races of the world”.

  • The winner will be those who have more correct answers. (Учитель перевіряє відповіді одразу і записує бали на дошці). So let’s start! (Додаток №2. Презентація “True or false”)
